Diego was born in Valladolid (Castile, Spain). He studied Mathematics at the Universities of Valladolid (2002) and Kaiserslautern (2003, double degree program). He obtained a PhD degree in Mathematics at the University of Valladolid in 2007. He was a postdoctoral researcher for one year at the University of Kaiserslautern and then was a H.C. Ørsted postdoc fellow at the Technical University of Denmark. Diego has been an assistant professor and, currently, he is an associate professor at the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Aalborg University.
