Self study: Read about convex functions and Jensen's inequality (Theorem 3.3). If time permits, try to verify the equivalence between (1) and (2) in Definition 3.1 and solve Exercise 20 (Jensen's inequality reversed).

Lecture: Holder's and Minkowski's inequality (Theorem 3.5). Notes for lecture 11.
